Frequently asked questions

Everything we're commonly asked about Microsoft licensing, procurement, cyber security, and working with HubICT, grouped by topic so you can jump straight to what's relevant.

General

HUB ICT takes an advisory-first approach. Rather than simply processing licence orders, we take the time to understand your users, security requirements, business objectives and existing technology environment. Our goal is to help you make better technology decisions, reduce unnecessary costs and ensure your licensing remains aligned with the needs of your business.

No. HUB ICT works with growing businesses, mid-market organisations and larger enterprises across a range of industries. We are best suited to organisations that value responsive service, practical advice and a long-term technology relationship.

Licensing

Yes. We can review your current Microsoft licensing, subscription structure, renewal dates and assigned products, even if your licences are currently managed by another provider. We can identify potential cost savings, licensing gaps and opportunities to simplify your environment. There is no requirement to change providers before receiving advice.

In most cases, changing your Microsoft CSP partner does not require users to be migrated to a new Microsoft 365 tenant. Your email, files, Teams environment and user accounts generally remain in place. HUB ICT can guide you through the process and help coordinate the transition to minimise disruption.

A licensing review may include an assessment of:

  • Current subscriptions and quantities
  • Assigned and unassigned licences
  • User roles and requirements
  • Monthly and annual commitments
  • Renewal dates
  • Duplicate or overlapping products
  • Security and device-management requirements

We then provide clear recommendations based on your current environment and future business needs.

Yes. Cost optimisation is an important part of our licensing reviews. Potential savings may come from removing unused licences, assigning more suitable products to different users, reviewing commitment terms or consolidating overlapping services. Any recommendation is considered alongside security, compliance and employee productivity. The cheapest option is not always the right option.

Beyond licensing

No. HUB ICT also supports businesses with hardware procurement, cyber security, software renewals, cloud solutions and selected IT services. This allows us to consider the wider technology environment rather than reviewing each product in isolation.

Yes. HUB ICT can assist with annual software renewals across a range of technology vendors. We help track renewal dates, coordinate quotations, review requirements and provide a more organised renewal process. This can reduce administrative effort and lower the risk of missed deadlines or unnecessary renewals.

Yes. We source laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, networking equipment and other business technology from leading manufacturers and distributors. Our team can assist with product selection, pricing, availability, warranty options and standardisation across your device fleet.

Getting started

No. The initial conversation is complimentary. It gives us an opportunity to understand your current environment, challenges and priorities. From there, we can recommend suitable next steps and clearly explain whether any further work involves a fee.

We pride ourselves on being responsive and easy to work with. Response times depend on the request, but our clients deal directly with a team that understands their environment and can provide practical guidance without unnecessary delays.

Start with a conversation. Tell us what you are trying to improve, whether that is Microsoft licensing, procurement, cyber security, renewals or a wider technology challenge. We will review your requirements and recommend the most practical next step.
